Fireworks, Dine & Cheese

It was like any Saturday night, but we had big plans. The weather was chilly, biting enough that we needed a coat but warm enough that it was only a light jacket. We rode our way into downtown Chicago, stopped at Grand and walked the short two blocks to Buca di Beppo, reliving a previous dining experience I unfortunately could not take part in. Dressed in a simple dress, I shared large plates of food with my friends, donning button-down shirts and and skirts.

We looked forward to a night of laidback bonding, no thoughts about schoolwork or studying. We walked to Steph's apartment and set up the food and drinks we bought: cherries, grapes, strawberries, cheese, crackers and italian soda. We went up to the skydeck and leaned over the balcony, looking at the fireworks at Navy Pier. We pumped some music, ate and danced the night away, topping the sleepover off with Step Up.

It was a good night.
